Terms of engagement.

General terms of engagement for consultancy, design and training services by Advanced IP Design.

Scope

These terms apply to consultancy, design, documentation and training services provided by Advanced IP Design (registered as AdvIP, KvK 30243859) to organisations. A signed proposal or agreement takes precedence over these terms where they differ. Purchases on Network Design Labs and Network Design Academy are subject to the terms on those websites.

Proposals and agreements

Proposals describe the scope, deliverables, planning and price, and are valid for 30 days. An agreement is formed when the client accepts a proposal in writing or by email. Changes to the scope are agreed in writing before the work is carried out.

Fees and invoicing

Prices are in euros and exclude VAT unless stated otherwise. Fixed-price work is invoiced as agreed in the proposal; day-rate work is invoiced monthly in arrears. Invoices are payable within 14 days. If payment is late, statutory commercial interest may be charged.

Client cooperation

The client provides timely access to the information, people and systems needed for the work. Delays caused by missing access or information may affect the planning and the price.

Confidentiality

Both parties keep confidential information from the other party confidential, during and after the engagement. Environment details, designs and configurations of the client are never used in publications or training material without written permission.

Intellectual property

After full payment, the client may use the delivered documents and designs for its own organisation without limitation. Advanced IP Design retains the rights to its general methods, templates, tools and training material, and to know-how that is not specific to the client.

Training programs

Dates for training programs for organisations are reserved after written confirmation. Rescheduling is possible free of charge up to 14 days before the start; later changes or cancellations may be charged as stated in the proposal.

Liability

The liability of Advanced IP Design is limited to direct damage and to the amount invoiced for the engagement concerned, with a maximum of the fees invoiced in the twelve months before the event. Indirect damage, including lost profit and loss of data, is excluded. These limits do not apply to damage caused by intent or deliberate recklessness.

Applicable law

Dutch law applies. Disputes are submitted to the competent court in the district of the registered office of Advanced IP Design. Last updated: 24 October 2026.
